It’s okay if the sun feels distant today.
If the light you hold for others has begun to fade.
It’s okay if the smile is a weight upon your face.
If you need to step out of the relentless race.
It’s okay if the tears finally find their way.
Washing the dust of “I’m fine” away.
It’s okay to be quiet, to have no words to say,
To not have a map for the path you’re on today.
This is not a surrender, a failure, or a fall.
But it’s the bravest acceptance of being human, after all.
It’s the soil where resilience quietly grows,
The truth that a heart, to heal, first truly knows.
And when the first small joys return to view—
A smile, a breath, a sky so blue—
That’s happiness for beginners: soft, unplanned,
Like holding sunlight gently in your hand.
So let the clouds gather; let the feeling be.
You are not broken—you are becoming free.
In every pause, a seed of joy takes root.
Teaching that happiness need not be absolute.
It’s okay to not be okay.
It’s also okay to begin—
With one small moment of gladness,
Let happiness quietly walk in.
